  • Megasquirtstock harness adapter for 3100's

In clearing house I have realized that I have a harness adapter that for a Megasquirt ECU to 1994 Beretta with a 3100 that someone else might want to make use of. It is probably only good for 1994 and 1995 models of vehicles with 3100s. Materials wize, there is not much to it, just plugs and wires. I have no use for it so I am more than willing to sell it. It needs some clarification as to how you would use it with your stock vehicle harness so simply selling it with no support from me is not an option. What I am going to offer is this harness adapter for $70.

All gauges on my Z26 except the speedo still worked. You will need a coolant switch to opperate your radiator fan as well, very simple addition.

This is not a piggyback system. You unplug the stock ECU. Place it in the trash. Plug in this harness to your stock harness where the ECU was. Plug the MS into the other end of this adapter.

Now, this $70 to get a stand alone ECU working on your vehicle seems like a deal, and it is, but it is not that simple. You will need to make a slight modification to your fuel pump relay and I have no idea how this will effect your transmission opperation. I had a maual so I did not need to worry about that aspect.

What this $70 gets you is a harness to adapt a megasquirt ECU to control your 3x00 engine so long as you do not have an automatic transmission. A Megasquirt ECU will cost you about $260 if you build it yourself, or $400 if you buy it assembled. It cost me about $20 just to buy the DB37 pigtail and then I invested about 10 to 15 hours into the harness to get my car driving with it. $70 is a steal considering I will give you one on one support.

This is a very nitch market I know, but I like working with these engines. As an enthusiast, I am willing to give someone who buys this harness several hours of my time to get their car driving with a megasquirt ECU. For $70 this is a steal. I have a few calibration files that I will be able to send you that I was using to drive my vehicle, without the supercharger. If you are able to make it that far, then you will probably start tuning it on your own, as it really is not that difficult.

As always, email me at mcgavinz26@sbcglobal.net if you are serious. I will probably respond to a PM too.

For the record, I love my megasquirt and I will use it on my next car. That is why I am not selling it. You will not regret MS if you give it a shot and have the right number of chromosomes.

The harness is about a foot and a half in length and could use some touching up if you want it too look pretty. Right now it is completely functional though.
