  • Where to find GM timing curves

I am working on adding timing into my tune and wanted to take a look at some of the stock/modified timing curves gm has setup. I am running a mega squirt stand alone so I am looking for an excel file comparing rpm and map if possible. My car is forced fed so if anyone has a timing curve from their own car they would be willing to share that would be great.

Looking on google I was searching for the Typhoon $58 and the TGP $8F code to see what/if I could see anything from this but came up with nothing. I have never looked over any of GM's code so any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks guys

Thanks a ton Sli for the file!!!!

Last night while searching I found Tunerpro and installed it on my computer, very nice program!! I found several files for the TGP and also the Typhoon, so I have a much better idea of what I should be aiming for ( I was playing it on the safe side). I just finished transferring the TGP timing curve into a megasquirt file and will be trying that out today to see if my car can handle it.

If anyone else would share their tune that would be awesome!!!!!! Especially a Turbo'd 3400 one (hint, hint)

I'm not sure of all your specs but I posted my megasquirt tune on my site.
It's for my turbocharged 3.4L iron head camaro.

          Very nice web page!!!!

Your spark table looks a lot like the one I am running now, but you are running more timing in the cruse areas.

          Thanks for your help.

Yea, I bumbed up the timing in the low load cruise areas and it drastically improved my mileage. Tied together with lean cruising with a wideband I am getting 21mpg on my turbocharged camaro on my daily commute to work.

Thanks for the compliment on the site. I made that diagram in hopes to get more 3.4 f-body guys on the megasquirt scene.

You will need to use a spark table from an engine with the same casting material cylinder head for a reference point. The aluminum heads are fast burn so they don't require as much timing as you probably noticed when you compared the TGP spark table to the Typhoon/Syclone spark table.
