  • tuning E85 with $8F

I tuned my car for premium gas up to 11psi before using E85.

now that I have a full tank of E85, I have changed the fuel bpc vs egr until the idle and part throttle BLMs are near 128, like they were before.

now the odd part is, WOT is rich. like 8.xx AFR rich. seems to be really rich when it first goes into boost, then goes to 10.xx later on

so it seem like now I actually need to lean out the fuel boost multiplier vs map and maybe even the PE mode AFR?

just wanted to make sure this sounds right, or if I should go about this a different way

    thanks

    are you tuning for lambda?

E85 needs to run at a richer AFR then regular gas.

I over on msefi.com somewhere. Best power rich for Ethanol (E85) is something like 6.9 - 8.4:1 AFR. I've seen mention of .77 lambda.
