when tuning part throttle, I normally increase the TPS% to engage PE mode. whats the highest I should bring that up to? if its too low and goes into PE mode, then the BLM stays at 128 correct? because I cant tune if the BLM isnt changing. so I would assume I should just keep the throttle low and let the RPM glide up when datalogging for part throttle tuning. but my concern is when the TPS is low, the MAP reading generally doesnt go very high. so it would seem im only tuning the lower MAP vs RPM ranges then

one way to do it would be to record your tps% vs rpm values to enable pe
then change them across the board to say 80%
then you can get some logs with varying map loads and rpm vs the near 80 %tps
you can burn your new chip and raise the tps% across the board to %90 tps
get some more logs
raise it 95 do it over again, wouldnt really go much over 95 unless your comfortable with it and your not getting any kr or w/e
you can then put back the pe rpm vs tps entries... road test and see where the motor is happy and where it wants the pe to be enabled rpm vs tps and you can adjsut them if you want
some people like to leave the pe and tune with it
lots of people have there different theories
im sure ben will chime in and give us some good tips :P
i wouldnt glide into it, becuase youll never get high kpa, jsut drive normal
keep your eye on krLast edited by sil; 03-07-2007, 02:22 AM.
