FS 1992 GTP 5 speed

I am trying to sell my car. it is a 92 gtp with the factory 5 speed tranny. there are around 140000 miles on it. i am asking $4000 or best offer. I am trying to sell soon so i am open to offers. It has heads up display, and the in dash computer. gray cloth interior, power driver seat and the electronic controls for the back supports for the driver and passanger seat. it is light blue in color. Has a newer clutch (about 35000 miles ago). It idles a little high and i broke the passanger mirror. If you have anyother questions just ask. I think thats a good general over view. I have pics too.

3.4 DOHC, the only motor in a GTP.

its not perfect, its in fair condition. It is 14 years old. the price is just a starting price. i am willing to negotiate. i have pictures but they need to be shrunk down so i will try and do that tonight.

It would have to be excellent to have a chance at 4k. In fair condition, maybe 2k.

i wish i could let it go for 2k. i have a bottom price that i can go to on it, and if there was a serious offer then i would let it go. I put 4k as a starting price. i can go quite a bit lower but there doesnt seem to be much interest. besides, the car retails at around 2400, but it isnt an easy car to find so i think that raises the value. maybe not to 4k but like i said, there is room for negotiation if there were any serious interest.

If you think you can get more than 2k then put it on e-bay.

For 4K I would expect the Getrag to be remanufactured with a new clutch and slave.

2500 dollars is a good asking price. Crap I sold mine for 1850 and it had 99k on it with a remanufactured Getrag 284HD. No rust, new Mcpherson struts, and a list of other crap like rewiring the body electrical so the door locks, mirrors, and windows worked. 99% of the work was done by me. The only thing wrong it it was the door carpet was coming off the glue was cripspy. The interior was almost perfect no burns, fading, tears and what not, and the plastic was all perfect.

I have noticed that when you post a car for sale for 2k then everone seems to be interested but there are never any serious buyers. I post a higher price in hopes there someone will show some actual intrest and then we can work on the price from there.

Yeahhh priced reasonably for what it is people are interested.

If I had to guess you bought this car 18 months ago for $1500 and now you think you're going to make money on it.

I have shocking news for you as a fellow Grand Prix body owner: Nobody with money lusts after a 1st Gen W body. If they actually had money they would buy something nicer or faster or both. Adjust price to reality. Those are normally $1200 cars on here, especially with damage to the front bumper skin, trunk panel, etc.

where are the original mesh rims??

I would pay 2k for my old GTP 5 speed if the guy I sold it to still has it in one piece. Was told he planned on installing the engine and trans into a fiero made me sad, but it would be nice to have her back.

The color of your is not rare at all, either is the interior except it is grey and harder to find clean. A new getrag remanufactured cost 3k 284HD back in late late 90's if yours is not remanufactured or a 284HD and if it is verify this, if not then it is just an ordinary 284. If your trans is original then most likely the transmission is not worth anything over the overall base value of the car on a private party basis.

All remanufactured 284's got branded as such on the bell housing.
