Sorry but the 3500 heads and intakes are worth a lot more than the block. Swapping 3100 or 3400 parts is ok at best but id put in the same category as swapping on iron heads and a TBI setup.

First Of All The Block Is Where The Power Is. Its Easier To Cut The Heads Open From A 3400 Then Bore The Block.also The Lower Intakes Are The Same.you Cant Use The Plenum Unless You Fit A Throttle Body To It That Uses A Cable(witch Ive Already Done).so If You Put It In That Category Then That Explains Why Your 3.4 Dohc Stick Is Still In The 15's.

the .1 liter of increased displacement is NOT where the power is. it's all in the cam and top end.

with that attitude, you won't be around very long, talking to the guy that runs the show like that.

I picked up 2 3500 short blocks and a 4.3L long block for $170, so the $350 seems alittle on the high side.

And no, the lower intakes are not the same. They are quite similar, but they are not the same. And as far as the plenum and TB go, 60V6 store already sells a relatively inexpensive adapter to use a standard 3x00 TB on the 3500 plenum.

Tell me again what my car has to do with your engines? Ill pay 200 more for a complete 3500. 350 for a block no one here can use without modifications is pretty funny.

Sorry, but you are mistaken. The block is not where the power is hince only .1L more displacement over older 3400 engine. Now where the 3500 engine picks up it's is in the redesigned heads and manifolds, and tuning.
I have the complete 3500 top end along with headers on my 3400 block, and have done alot of research and testing with Ben (sappyse107). It will cost alot more to get the 3400 heads to flow more than stock 3500 heads, and the end results will be similar.

Pat, the 3500 cam is the same as the 3400 cam.

no you are mistaken.they didnt get a 30 horsepower gain from the heads.i have a set of 3500 heads and there not big enough to get that gain.so on that note if you had a 3500 block on the floor and a 3400 piston you would see where the 30 horses are coming from.
