  • WTB: Z34

First of all, I really hope someone answers this post, since the last three general car questions I've had seem to go unanswered or ignored. To the point: I'm looking for a 91-9 lumina Z34 if anyone has one they would like to sell in the future. What I'm preferring is one with the body intact. Paint can be crap since I am owed a paint/ body job from friends in school. Just no huge dents or areas of rust. Also, the engine can be junked, blown up, or possibly missing since I have a donor 3.4 DOHC outta a '93 that I am rebuilding in school. Just the rest of the car I would like intact, if at all possible. If anyone can help me out, I'm looking at not spending too much, and there is no rush on offers. I am searching now until sometime into January. If anyone can hook me up, that'd be awesome.
P.S. This site is great! Keep up the good info!

apparently nobody can answer any questions that I have anymore. I will patiently await responses, Buy/Sell/Trade, or general car things nonetheless

If anyone had a car that they could post about in a span of 9.5 hrs, I'm sure it would already be up here for sale...

i do not see any questions in here. but i have a few. what are you looking to pay for a body? and i would suggest looking in your local classifieds for a z34. they are getting very cheap now.

next where are you? i happen to have a body i would sell if the price is right, it has a 1 small dent in the hood, and maybe 2 scattered throughout the body. it does have a larger dent in the driver's side door, looks like it hit a cement post at a gas station. paint is peeling/chipping in several places as most gm's do. i had some jackass repaint the hood and it is cracking now. good thing you are a body man

it is a 94 z34 so it has more clearence in the bay to remove the rear plugs, a bigger radiator and bigger rear brakes than it's predecessors. i also installed a tranny cooler from a 93 which i would let go with the body. the color is metallic gray with a beigish interior, the odometer reads 121k i believe.

interior is in good shape except for that spot near the heater vent where the dash pops up. seats are in immaculate shape. has factory bose sound system and sounds good for it's age. all the guages work last i checked and the carpet is ok with all the original mats still there.

no engine, no tranny. i am waiting onthe engine to return but without a z34, it will give me incentive to get a fiero. it can be 2 ways bare bones which will be just the body minus the axels and the tires. so you'll have to bring your own tires. no ecm, no harness, no MAF sensor, no exhaust and a 93 rad.

next is semi there which will include a recently rebuilt tranny with acculator shims and an adjustable vacuum modulator, the axels, tires, true CAI/ram air induction kit, ecm harness with the elusive 94 chip, MAF sensor, performance exhaust and a 3kstall. i may or may not entertain offers just depends on what u want and the price. also it will be all or nothing, no parting on the body.

p.s. i have also taken several steps to lighten this body a little too(nothing major or noticable). along with which there are 2 uncommon mods and 1 unique mod with the whole enchilada. uncommon are the 3kstall and the 94 chip. unique is the true CAI/ram air kit.

Well, I'm in central Minnesota, about 3 hours north of the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/ St. Paul) I guess what I'm looking for is somthing under a grand, since, like you said, they are getting fairly cheap (A few hundred bucks on Ebay for ones with blown eng./ trans.) I guess body wouldn't have to be absolutely perfect since I have another one to work with, with most panels intact. My reason for searching for another one (with no previous major accidents), is due to the fact I got T-boned in mine awhile back, and the B-pillar and door jamb is crushed in, and it affected the roof and stuff. My buddies said it would not be worth it to fix it. Otherwise, remaining car is just fine. For one I'm looking for: what you describe would prolly work, but what I am looking for would be to have all the harnesses, hoses, vacuum likes, and connections where I could just drop (or lift in) my donor engine and trans right in. I guess if all else fails, if someone had a euro coupe with the same specs (3.1 of course, prolly), I could do a Z34 clone like a buddy of mine did.

oh well, i doubt i could help you unless you want to drive all the way to VA to pick it up. but judging from what your criteria is i would guess you would want the bare bones setup. my harness and ecm would not work very well with your motor anyway. you'd have to swap in a 94 damper/sensor, and a 94 front cam bank with cam sensor i believe. and i can't help you with those parts.

but i would throw inthe harness, axels, ecm and sensor for $400 if for some reason if you did want it.
