I'm selling my old 62mm TB that came off my own 3.1 MPFI. This is the first FDP 62mm throttle body. For those that don't know me, I was one of the owners of FDP Performance a couple years back.
It's got some signs of age, but worked great when I switched to the dual throttle body set up. The rust you see on the neck is just surface rust, and I can clean it up and paint it if whoever buys it so wishes. There is no rust inside the neck.
This is the same billet aluminum TB we sold when we were still in business, but with it being the first one we had, there's one minor alteration that you need to do to whatever car it's installed on.
The oblong shaped cable that attaches to the TB needs to be stretched a little so the throttle plate can close 100%. I believe it's the cable for the cruise control, but I'd have to double check. Stretching the holes takes only a minute with a Dremel type tool. I had to do this on my car, and the cruise still worked perfectly.
As with all oversized TBs, you'll need to port your intake plenum to match the bigger diameter of the TB.
This TB fits all J body V6s from 1988-1994, and all L body V6s from 1988-1993. It will not fit W body cars with 2.8s or 3.1s.
