I have a 96' GP SE . I'am looking for a shortblock for it . I'am not at all sure what all aplications this will work for . So if you could give some suggestions it would be greatly appreciated . Or any leads as to where one is ...

You don't want a 3.1 short block, you want a 3100 short block, not the same thing. Where are you located?

I'am still learning (3.1 3100)....I'am located in the south burbs of Chicago. I have looked on Ebay and came up with the same listings as you , but that is out of my budget . I can pick up a complete motor locally for 550.00 . Iam just looking for the shortblock on the cheap. If nothing pops up, I will jump on the local deal ( not to excited though)
