  • WTS 1992 Z34 5-speed 185k mi. perfect smog 10k mi. ago $2800

Well.. it's time for me to say good bye to the 60v6 family. Our Euro has low compression and is burning oil, and I need a car that gets better gas mileage. I'm looking for a KA24DE 240SX Fastback 91 -...94 I think.

$1000 for the Euro as-is will not pass smog. You can buy and part out, I can't part it out (no where to store car)

$3000 for my Z34 5 speed with the wheels and system, or $1800 without wheels and system, you provide the wheels. Check my cardomain for info on the Z34. It shifts hard after long trips, no A/C, typical stalling problem, but is reliable, and passed smog with flying colours.

The Euro needs some paint (not terrible but bad in a few places). However the interior is in excellent condition. It's running but I think the rear head gasket is blown. Burns about 1qt. of oil every 300 miles.

It's been fun... and I really hope you guys discover something huge with these cars. I've been with 60v6 since GMForums... probably 4 or 5 years or so. Been driving / riding in a 60v6 Lumina Euro for almost as long as I can remember... at least the Ecotec is a decent performer... and gets a shit load better gas mileage...

If you want to pay for a plane ticket for me back I'll drive my car out there for you. I know it'll make it.

Or I can charge an extra $50 for gas for my friend to come along and give me a ride back. I have a place in Utah to stay so I don't need to pay for a hotel. 10 hours to Utah, another what... 5 to CO?

It doesn't need anything to get it to run. It runs great, I've taken it on a few trips. 184k miles. Just No A/C and the interior is rough. heater needs new hose too the old one was leaking and the heater core went out, new heater core but never hooked the hose back up, just running a bypass right now. easy fix though.

by sorta looking i mean i dont really have the means right now. if i could somehow get the money, i would definitely consider it. explain the tranny more. if i goes out i cant rebuild it so i would have to find another one. convince me i should buy it and if i can come up with the money, i might do it and hopefully if/when i get the money you'll still have it.

so, it also needs interior and paint?

Well look at my car domain. The interior is rough because the dash parts are starting to warp due to heat, but actually it just needs a good detailing and it'll look great. It's missing the bose speaker grilles too, as well as one or two of the underdash panels (so the wires are exposed, nothing dangerous or too obvious though). The exterior is primered black (from a gun, not a rattle can, so it looks real clean). It's completely ready to be painted, no body work necessary. Maybe one or two minor dings on the roof but that's it... however if you paint it you'd do good to get a new spoiler, the previous owner had some gay line design sticker on it and from the heat it warped the plastic spoiler. The front bumper has a small crack in it. Um... the tranny shifts great, no signs of wear, however something isn't right in the clutch system (new clutch assy. master and slave sylinders). When the engine heats up (after about 20 minutes) the clutch doesn't disengage fully when you press the pedal down. Makes it hard to shift into first at a stop, and impossible to shift into reverse. No grinding (except for reverse which is common for non-synchronized reverse gear transmissions) though. No park brake either (gets stuck when applied to I disconnected the cable). It gets stuck applied at the right rear caliper. No A/C and heater core isn't hooked up (currently running bypass hose due to old core leaking, new one is good though, just needs new hose).

New brakes, alt, almost all sensors, relocated coils (needs custom length wires, any speed shop can do that for cheap, or you can leave as is, I've driven it for almost 1k miles with the wires as is), new vacuum lines, new rear main seal and all tranny seals, new exhaust system incl. cat., with the new rims the tires have about 50% tread left ~10k miles, if you want stockers the tires are almost bald but I'll take $1200 off the price, VERY decent system which I'll remove the amp and sub and take off another $100, FFP chip, ALL new motor/tranny mounts incl. FFP dogbone, short ram intake, new serpentine belt... ... just check my cardomain every repair I've ever done is on there.

I'll also throw in the old bench rear seat for free and install it if you want, the rear buckets are HELLA (sorry I'm norcal :P ) comfy though, and the sub install is so clean poking out between the seats.

PM if anyone is interested. I can hook up with new dash pieces for an extra $100 if you want, I'll get almost perfect pieces and install them.

I wish I had $1800. A 5 spd swap into my Cutty, would be "Cutting Edge".

You really don't have to leave the forum though.

Too bad you want to sell it, but gas is expensive; especially in Nor Cal.
707 to the 408 is not much of a drive.
I am not going to buy it bc my wife would kill me.

But I sure would like to put that 5 speed and exhaust on my car.

                          free bump.

You should tour the wine country sometime.

Where in 707? I used to go to Rohnert Park all the time cause my friend lived there. I also have family in Sebastepol and Santa Rosa so I'm up there eveyr now and then... not in my car, though.

Gas isn't too bad down here... not too bad at $2.89/gal... But it runs like a champ except for the stupid 5 speed stalling problem (which isn't that bad). You should pick it up ;] I really need to sell this thing I have this Grand Am lined up I just need a down payment, and I'm leaving in a week for a one week vacation to San Diego.

*bump* still for sale, just took it all the way to San Diego and back with no problems at all... and 24mpg at 90mph the whole way. Had it up to 5k RPM in 5th gear... which is probably around 155mph. Car still runs like a champ!
