I'm sure either Ben or I will take the head and chop it up for cross-sectional pictures for the site.

How did you crack your head? was it the one that I ported out Eric?

What happened with the LIM? Ouch.

As far as I know, it was during the cam install. And that was one of the heads Milzy claimed as the exhaust not flowing as well as his... (yeah, I'm gonna keep bringing that up). This is just from what I read over on GAGT.com

he claimed it was cracked when he took it off. Same as the LIM. Kinda odd but I had no way of proving it otherwise. The LIM had two of the bolt holes cracked off.

The only way a LIM can have bolt holes cracked off is from Poor installation, Using an impact to torque the shit out of the bolt and cracking the bolt hole around it.

I've witnessed it done before by a guy I used to work with....

As to the head being cracked. I have a hard time fucking believing they're cracked. Were you ever using Nitrous Eric? Those heads were sent out and crack tested when I had them and they were fine. I have YET to see an alum headed 60v6 crack on an N/A engine, Just does not happen.
Where exactly was the crack at?

Likely he wanted to check the head out and look at what I do for porting. I know your trying to get me riled up Brad about the poor work comment he made about me. I was furious the other day, But I just dont have time to get in a pissing match between someone right now.
I could care less what the guy says about my port work. I know I do the best work. I've been fucking porting 60v6 heads for 5 years now.
You don't have guys like my machinist make comments that the work I do is top notch from a guy who's been in the racing buisness for 30+ years for nothing.

Anything I can do to help out Eric? Sorry to hear the issues. Never good. Did you have to buy a set of Milzy heads?

Looks like Marty has a bandsaw (well, 3 actually... bastard!), so we'll probably get the head sent to him to chop up for us. I'll see if I can't make some arrangements. Where are you located so I can get a shipping guestimate figured up?

No nitrous and definately no overtorquing by me when I reinstalled last time. The crack was on the exhaust side right below the one bolt hole that you had helicoiled. It ran the length from one exhaust port to the other. Also he said that the valves and such that were on there were not sufficent enough for the cam so had to replace those on both heads. I didn't get milzys heads since the other one was still in good condition and just had the new head reported to match the one you did. It ended up costing me $2300 to have the cam put in but when you need a new head and LIM as well as the porting costs I can see where all the cost came from. Appreciate the offer to help but everything is installed now and the car is running well. Hopefully it holds up for a bit.
