  • WTB 94-95 3100 OBDI ECM and wiring harness

I need a early 90's 3100 wiring harness out of a Beretta, corsica, etc. and a 94-95 OBDI ECM.

I'm doing a 3400 SFI engine install on my Fiero GT. I have a guy who will burn me a new chip, but I need these items if someone has them laying around.

    Thanks,

    Earl Rice

i may have one very shortly. How soon did you need it? the car has 75k miles and the harness is perfect and not even dirty at all.

        Thanks Stephanie,

        Kewl another CSI fan.

I don't need it ASAP, I've been rebuilding and modifing this car for almost 4 years. I'm in St. Louis so your close. Let me know when your ready. BTW what kind of car is it out of?

Genobeats, sorry I don't do the core charge thing unless it's me doing it locally, but thanks anyway.

Not sure you know exactly what you are getting into... Except for the A-body 3100s (93-95), all 3100s have a FLASH type PCM, not a PROM type. Currently, no one has cracked the code for the A-body PROM, so burning a chip that is 3x00 specific is also out of the question. In other words, I think you are looking for the wrong equipment for your swap...

I need the PCM with Flash mem-cal chip out of a 94-95 Buick, Olds or any other GM car that uses this. I didn't know there was a difference between the GM models with 3100 SFI engines. I'm learning here so be patient.

Give me a schematic and I can wire anything. When it comes to the programming and little nuances associated with the car...I'm lost

            Edit:

Brad, Thanks for bring that to my attention.

I'm still wondering why you actually want the FLASH-type ECM? They aren't really programming friendly... You'd be better off running the 3400 on a 7727/7730 ECM (like almost all of the other Fiero guys that have a 3x00 swapped in), in which case you might be able to use your stock wiring harness. The 7727/7730 are fairly easy to tune and we've got guys on here running 3x00s on them very well.

Are you still working on this project?

How about if you went with a '96+ wiring harness and computer and had DHP program the PCM? DHP does good work and you also have the option to buy the Powertuner to tune the car yourself.

I thought about doing the same thing. I saw how much it costs for DHP to reflash your ECM though, so I passed on it. And you'll pretty much have to do that to any 96+ ECM if you have a 5spd. I just ended up getting a 3.1MPFI computer and harness for 75 bucks, and that's what gets ran.
