and i take a look tonight to see if i have one laying around and im pretty sure it will have the bleeder valve with it. i dont ever remember taking one off any of the spare engines i have around.

so it should be a problem...

Is the 3400 & 3100 Water oulet the same? I thought you couldnt use the 3400 Thermostat in the 3100?

They are the same and the thermostat is the same
