  • FS: 1993 Pontiac Sunbird LE, 3.1L/5spd

Looks like it's time for me to move on to something a bit more reliable... this thing is starting to have frequent minor issues.

    The good:

Koni sport struts and shocks (Yes, the rare adjustable "yellows"!), about 50k on 'em - still good as far as I can tell.
62mm TB, about 85k miles on this.
    Little to no rust
Still runs strong, engine is in great mechanical shape. Transmission works fine too.
I'll throw in a halfway working Kenwood KDC-7011 MASK am/fm/cd head unit and Q-logic kick panel pods - no speakers in the pods tho.
Two sets of wheels - factory 15x6 alloys plus 16x7 Beretta GTU alloys (bent, but with caps). IIRC, 2 tires on each set of wheels is useable, others are bad.

    The bad:

Driver's side rocker panel is dinged slightly (not really noticeable)
Salvage title - wrecked and fixed twice.
235k miles on the whole car.
Electrical glitch - A/C fuse blows when using heat or A/C, causes battery to quit charging
    Headliner is falling
Battery not included You can't have my Optima!
Carpet is in rough shape on the drivers side

    Other info:

I bought the car with a salvage title in Feb. 1999 with 55k on the clock. I have driven the bloody piss out of it since. It got wrecked again about a year after I bought it, someone ran a red light and smacked the front left corner. I had it put back together and kept on driving it. I hate to see it go, but I need unquestionable reliability right now - not something that's giving me minor issues every once in a while.

Good parts car, or drive it as a beater. Located in Lexington, NC.

Let's start with $500 or best offer, and you can also have the Hella FF50 driving lights on it.

Feel free to make lower offers.

Hey, I may be stepping away from the 60v6 right now (presently have a pair of 4cyl vehicles), but I'm still thinkin' of building a Stalker someday... hell, I might even bring my Saturn (PlasticFantastic) to a future 60v6 meet so you can all pick on me.

All good things must end...Wish I had the cash, I'd hitch-hike to pick it up, and keep it in the family.

Consider it sold - a local J-body enthusiast is getting it.

Edit: The buyer backed out, claims financial problems.

Wow this is a tempting offer. Very tempting.
'93 Sunbird. 5spd, 3.1, it's fast. Oh, and 240k miles has proven lethal against Turbo Talons

I'm lurking occasionaly. It's tough because I'm usually too busy with the Army or my 5.0 Mustang. Which is for sale.
