I've given up on my Lumina so I'm selling the top end. It's a 96 SFI 3100.
It includes:
*Heads - valve job done (guides replaced also) and milled flat. There is slight corrosion on 1 of the coolant ports but I never had a problem. Some springs have slight surface abrasion.
*Rocker arms - good shape
*LIM - Has one hole stripped where the plenum screws in back by the map sensor, I never had a problem. Since it's off the car a heli-coil should be an easy fix.
*Fuel rail w/injectors
*Plenum - good shape, includes MAP sensor
*Coil packs and wires - Upon removal I noticed the #1 wire had a small slit in it, I'm not sure if it was like this for a while or if it happend recently. I never had a problem but it may or may not need to be replaced. Coil packs always worked fine.
*Pushrods - 12 (if needed)
*Lifters - 12. 1 of them is in a few pieces, 1 had a hard time coming out of the lifter bore and looks ok but may need to be replaced. The other 10 look to be in good shape. (if needed)
*Throttle body, Exhaust manifolds with crossover pipe, and Timing cover are negotiable.
I don't know exactly what parts are needed if it will be going on a gen 1 or 2 so let me know if theres a miscellaneous part that is needed, I should have it.
I do not have the line that connects the the PCV valve to the throttle body, it broke when taking it apart in the cold. A local dealer quoted me $8.32 for it, probably even less from Gmpartsdirect.com. I can get you the part # if you want it.
I want to sell it either as the whole set or heads seperatly. I have pictures but they're still on my camera, let me know if you want a picture of a part and I can get it.
$300 plus shipping for everything
$200 plus shipping for heads only, no cores needed
I'm also selling the whole car. 1996 Lumina, Emerald Green. It's in good shape, some dings and dents. Almost no rust. Tires are fairly new and it had brakes all the way around (pads, rotors, drums, shoes, and wheel cylinders) last spring. It's only been driven a few thousand miles since then. Suspension hasn't had work but it's good as far as I know. The bottom half of the engine is still in it, but it's got a spun cam bearing so it's most likely junk.
$200 bucks for the car. I'm in northern michigan.
