  • 3500 parts. Pending sell

I am considering selling this engine complete or in pieces(Engine only not the attachments; starter etc). All those interested please PM me regarding parts of interest. The decision depends on my acquiring a 3900 replacement which I hope to have within the next 2wks in which case I could go ahead and part with the 3500.

The OE 3400 cam is reground to turbo specs 212int 208exh 114 lobe sep and .468, .454 lift with use of 1.6:1 rockers

I might take the whole thing from ya. What you looking to get for it? Do you have a harness/computer by any chance?

Oh yeah, and where did those log headers come from...!!! Wow!

      Thanks!

At the moment it looks like I'm going to keep the 3500. I just purchased an extra cradle so I can get the 6spd mated into position that I chose over the 3900 and there has been no word on completion of parts necessary to make sure the 3900 cam timing will perform properly with disabled VVT so I can't reasonably take the chance of installing it and discovering there is a problem and having no back up engine to replace it.

The 6spd is rated at 295 lb/ft max gearbox torque in a 3500 lb car so that means even more in my little Fiero. I really wanted tranny dependability to go along with the power and since I have a modified cam installed I probably will not miss an awful lot compared to the 3.9 but then again in theory there maybe an astronomical difference under boost between the two when cylinder head and valve size is taken into account even with the stock cam in the 3.9.

I'll probably by one and set it aside for a complete performance build and install at a later date.
