I am out of the N-Body game and moving on with married life with kids, work and maintaining a house, so it is time to sell off the supercharger that I spent many hours of researching to get right.
This kit started off as an RSM Racing Supercharger kit, that they sold years ago to the tune of $4,000. The kit was plagued with problems relating to the driveshaft. The main issue was the bearing that was only rated to 5,000 - 6,000 RPM and poor bearing to shaft fitment. They also used a solid coupling that did not allow for any misalignment and lastly they used a proprietary pulley.
I spent a long time researching and redesigning the kit to what it should have been from the beginning. I was finally able to get a shop to machine the parts that I designed as an upgrade for this kit. The redesigned driveshaft assembly consists of a solid one piece hardened drive shaft machined to tight tolerances, a bearing rated to 20,000 RPM, new bearing housing with snap ring to retain the bearing, a 3 pin coupling that uses a composite Eaton coupler, a new longer coupling cover to clear the new coupler and lastly to top it all off a standard Vortech pulley to allow fast and easy pulley changes to increase or decrease boost.
I will be up front, I was not able to run the kit on my car have as I sold my car shortly after I got the parts back from the machine shop. I did test fit it and belt alignment is perfect and the supercharger is tight without any play in the shaft or impeller. The kit is in good condition and updated driveshaft is really what makes this kit special as it should now be a bulletproof setup.
