Wanted Wideband and gauge

Look at 14point7.com Alan makes some of the least expensive and best WBO2 controllers on the market. I've been using a 14point7.com SLC_DIY for about 4 years or so, and recently got an SLC_PP2. I like them much more than the LC1s I had.

PLX kit, DM-6 sensor controller and gauge is $190 shipped on ebay... That's cheaper than the SLC_PP2 unit, unless you buy the DIY2 kit but that's still 190. The Gauge kit from 14point7.com is only $160.

What is everyone's thoughts on the Lc1 widebands

I run AEM'a & have had only to replace the sensor 1 time in the time I've owned it. Going on 10 years this fall I think. I run leaded fuel with the one, no lead but meth injected with the other. The LC1 hasn't shown me that reliability. After a few months of fouling out the sensor and the sensor costing nearly x2 the AEM sensor... I ditched it.

AEM's use the Bosch LSU 4.2 Sensor just like the PLX I have, but according to Innovate's website the LC1 is being replaced by the LC2 which also uses the Bosch LSU4.2 sensor but the newer version with the oval plug not the square like mine, PLX is also using this new sensor in their kits... Not sure if that changes the reliability of the Innovate LC-X or not.

I owned 2, because at the time they were the cheapest WBO2 controller on the market. While they do work, I had one installed in my car for about 3 years or so, I didn't like the serial only interface, because most serial to USB adapters are flaky at best, and it required calibration every so often.

It's overpriced for what it is, when you can get other more feature enriched WBO2 controls for the same or less money.

To compare the SLC_PP2 to the AEM on price alone is not a fair comparison. Take a long look at what the SLC_PP2 has to offer, multiple inputs that can be logged, either to a laptop or the built in memory.

I think a fairer comparison is the SLC-Gauge.

If you want something like the LC1, look at the Spartan Lambda Controller, $75 on it's own, $125 with sensor. The only thing that the Spartan is lacking is the programmable outputs, but other than the initial set-up on the LC1 to change the 5V output to the same settings that the 14point7.com controllers (and many others) have as default, I never changed anything.
