I was going to do a 3.4 swap in my S10 but I decided to go with a ls motor so everything I have is for sale. Motor is out of a 94 Camaro. I bought it off Craiglist from what Im pretty sure were gypsy's. According to them it had 140K and they parted the car because it wouldn't pass emissions. The only problem I saw when I took it apart was really bad main bearings. I don't think it went 140k on them so I'm assuming they tried to rebuild the motor and sold it when it started making noises. The crank is stamped 3.1L but the block has the holes for crank positions sensors and cam position sensor so it is a 3.4. The intake valves were really gummed up though so I'm not too sure.
I have almost everything for the swap. The only things I can think of that it needs are intake manifold bored out, bearings, crank polished, cylinders honed, and a couple misc gaskets. I was going to port the heads and get some roller rockers but its not necessary. I do not have the front end accessory drive parts, oil pan, distributor, or flywheel. I was going to use the parts off the motor already in the truck.
I would like to keep everything together and sell it soon, I need the space for my L33. I will part it out if I can get (almost) everything accounted for. I would prefer to sell it locally and can meet halfway depending on where you are. I will ship it if I have to. I could assemble the motor and it would be fairly cheap. However I don't have main bearings, any of the old gaskets, or rings for the pistons so that's probably not a good idea.
I have:
- Caddy TBI intake bonnet
- 4.3 Astro van throttle body with injectors
- S10 2.8 intake manifold
- Fiero valve covers with bolts (missing one bolt I think)
- Cylinder heads disassembled, looks like they might have had a valve job recently. valves, rocker bolts also have a set of assembled cylinder heads from a 1991 2.8 S10
- Factory cam, lifters, rockers, valve springs, push-rods
- Comp cam 260 kit
- Pistons and rods
- Crank. I will get pictures of the bearing surfaces
- Block supposedly had 140k. looks like it might have been rebuilt by someone who didn't really know what they were doing.
- Oil pump
- Box of bolts including oil pump driveshaft, timing chain guide, old sensors, crank bolt intake manifold fittings
- ARP head studs, no nuts or washers. 3/8's grade 8 hardware will work.
- OBX stainless headers y-pipe and gaskets AIR plugs
- stainless band clamps
- locking header bolts
- O2 bung $6.95 2/6/12
- TBI rebuild kit
- Felpro valve cover gaskets
- Felpro head gaskets
- Standard Abrasives head porting kit
- Felpro intake manifold gaskets
Camaro specific parts: http://s97.photobucket.com/user/brwn...-4%20motor/SFI
- Coil packs, wiring harness, and ECM. Wiring harness has a couple cut wires
- SFI intake setup
- SFI upper intake manifold
- SFI lower intake manifold
- Camaro starter
- Camaro water pump
- Camaro timing cover
- Distributor block off gear

I'm trying to get $900 for everything. I can text or email more pictures. Most things are packed up since I've moved since I took it apart. I will try to get some pictures of the crank and pistons up this week. Best way to get a hold of me is brwnelky@gmail.com
