Wow... need to integrate the front of the oil pan into it, I see you did the back already, what material would it be, cast aluminum?

The original design was for 4130 but I had to lighten it up. If anyone is interested let me know. It could be steel or aluminum.

No more interest? Should I consider this thread dead?

I'm buying all aftermarket parts for my build, but they are for other vehicles and we re just sticking them in the lathe or mill where needed
Looks like i'm shooting the moon on compression though,we're going high compression, high boost.
Prob be around 12:1 with over 10psi on the street.
You got a piston for that

I would be more interested if I didn't already have a set of rods that I was going to try. what's the deal with you main girdle?

Yes I can get forged boost pistons for the LZ blocks in whatever compression you want (within reason). Let me know what you want.

The girdle is a concept based on a scan I did of my LZG block. I can get them made. If weight isn't a concern I have the original version and the material to make one of them from 4130 steel. You'd need to fab your own oil pan unless you want me to design one. Let me know. I can custom design whatever you want.

I'd be interested in one of them for sure. Can make an oil pan easily enough...

Just out of curiosity, how many engine parts have you tested in the field, nate? I know you are an engineer and have experience in the field, but just wondering.

I'm interested, but it's going to have to wait until I start an LZ9 build.

Ok. How much do you think it should cost? Steel or aluminum?
