    Go another set, which looked like it was involved with a lower intake gasket leak. After cleaning them up, yet another cracked head So far I am 1 for 4.

      i'll check the ones i got a little further this weekend. did a quick scan this past weekend and they looked ok

        You can always repair them by TIG welding. May have to preheat them quite a but to avoid cracking.

          I was just going to suggest that as well.. make John weld them up. lol

            I wouldn't waste my time/money/effort to weld them. The valve seats would have to be removed, welded, machined for new seats and new seats installed. At that rate it would be cheaper and/or easier to buy new castings lol.

            I have welded the tops of BMW heads when they crack the rocker shaft bosses, not new to welding cast, but just not economical to do in the chambers, under the seats of these.

              I may have some for you in aabout 2 weeks time.
              I've got an 01 3100 which I'm putting ported 3400 heads on in a couple of weekends.

              If my heads aren't cracked or damaged and you're still interested we can work something out!

                  ben i can give you all the 3400 heads you can take for $35 an assembled head plus shipping. i work at a junkyard and we throw away the intakes and the heads.
