This was the E-mail I got from him. For anyone who did not get it.

To everyone involved in the double roller group buy,

Jon, 3400-95-modified, has brought to my attention that there were some issues with the timing chain sets. I would like to get this situation resolved as quickly as possible. To do so, I need for everyone to send there sets back in for repair or replacement as needed.

My assumption at this time is that there was an issue with the flame hardening process which caused to sprockets to grow. However, until I have some in hand to measure, I am only guessing. Jon has his on the way back to me and, hopefully, I will have some answers next week. Once I get them, a determination can be made on the course of action to take.

As everyone knows, this was a group buy that was done at costs. I did make a little money on a few extra sets that I added to the batch. Any repair or replacement costs will be coming out of my pocket as vendors will only give a refund on their portion of the work. If it was the flame hardening, I would only get that money back and will have to buy material, pay for all of the machining and gear cutting myself. In regard to both expense and time, I hope they can be repaired. I say this to let everyone know where I am at and will make sure everyone is satisfied with their parts.

I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and am embarrased that any bad parts were shipped out. I made the mistake of assuming since everything was processed exactly the same as last time and using the same vendors, the parts were correct.

I got an update email from Marc yesterday and he has only received 3 sets so far... I'm guessing two of them are mine... He needs to get them back to him ASAP so he can figure out whats wrong and get it resolved... He had some unexpected health issues pop up recently and the treatment will begin to hinder his energy levels and he wants to get this taken care of before that becomes an issue.

I wish him the best and anyone who got his e-mail will understand.

I believe my set was delivered to him yesterday. If I get time tomorrow I'll drop him an e-mail to verify. I feel really bad about how everything is hitting the fan for him right now..

It does suck, but I feel he should be able to chock this one up on the gear cutting since it's so inconsistent... some gears seem to wrap the chain fine where others the chain walks out so if you ask me that is not due to something HE did... I think they should pay for the material and machine time to get those replaced. At least if that's the case then he's not hit with having to cover the cost of all of these.

I haven't heard anything either. I have an SA Gear chain in my car for now with my OEM Sprockets so I can at least drive it this year. Don't know if I'll bring it to the track at all with that in there.

mines ready to ship out tomorrow evening. Just got my sets back from bfe shop. I really need to find a more local machine shop lol.
