  • For Sale : 2 sets 3400 heads and intakes one ported/one stock

got 2 sets of 3400 heads and intakes sitting around that i'd like to get rid of, they're doing me no good sitting in the garage.

They're both 10mm rocker heads, with rockers(as long as i can find them :P), valves and springs.

Ported set has LS6 valve springs(yellow), and one of the spark plugs probably needs helicoiled, it got real tough trying to take it out so i left it alone. lower intake is port matched to heads and also includes a ported 3400 upper intake with stock throttle body. might check the heads for need of a valve job and flatness, never been done, but not strictly necessary. i would though. i'd like $275 for the ported set.

Stock set is just that, stock. stock springs, valves, seals, etc. never been apart. might want to have a valve job done and check them for flatness, since that's never been done as far as i know. i'd like $150 for these stock heads and lower intake only. no upper.

i'd rather not ship, but if you pay for it i'd be willing. can't get accurate shipping quote unless i go to the shipping store with the parts, but i'd guess 50-75 to ship. parts are located in muscatine iowa but i live in iowa city, anywhere around cedar rapids/iowa city/muscatine/quad cities i'd be more than willing to meet up.

also, i have a TON of other 3x00 parts, so if you need something just ask, i'll try to check on this thread often and get back to you.

I 'm looking for 2000 or later large port aluminum heads, your ad didn't say that, also who done the porting, a pro, or a do-it-at home port job. have they been overheated. sorry about all the questions, if i sent the money, then its to late.

I did the porting on those 3400 heads a long time ago, it was before my flowbench was built so I was never able to give him numbers.

I don't recall them being extreme by any means but 224WHP with a cam on a 5 speed car is pretty healthy.

both sets are 2000+, and neither set was ever overheated when i ran them, and they always ran great. like he said, Superdave ported the heads, and he does great work. and they probably weren't like, off the wall crazy ported, but they made great power with a healthy but very driveable cam.
