  • 3400 Parts going for scrap price plus shipping

If anyone is interested I'm about to scrap all my 3400 parts. Of interest I have a block, crank and reground cam. If anyone needs any of them let me know. I'll sell them for their current going weight dollar value plus a shipping fee.

Search the forum for my name. I posted the cam specs a few months ago.

                    Tad,

I'm not sure why you couldn't PM me. However I haven't gotten rid of any of the parts yet. The current best of the 282s is in my Fiero at the moment. Its out of a FWD car and was rebuilt after I pulled it at a junk yard with new 1st and 2nd blocker rings. It had 143K (approx.) prior to the rebuild. I put all new bearings in it from GM and used the GM assembly tool for setting the shimming. The outer case was also glass beaded, rinsed to remove any bead dust and then painted with an etching marine paint (the green stuff, a zinc containing paint) followed by ''Cast Aluminum" paint to keep it from corroding if it got any winter salt on it. Since rebuild it has had less then 20K put on it as I haven't really been driving the car much the past 5 years or so.

I also have the original Fiero transmission apart on the bench (never got around to doing a rebuild on it) as well as a 'core' from my local junk yard that I 'think' needs a new gear. Both should be rebuildable (assuming I can get a gear or make a gear).

I'd be willing to rebuild the original Fiero transmission if you were interested. Otherwise let me know which you are interested in. I'm no immediate hurry to get rid of these parts, however some could be shipped within the month. The transmission in the Fiero may be a bit longer until my 3900 is ready to swap in.... Hope that helps info wise. Let me know...

Sappy, cam wise, I'll have to figure out how I'm going to package it and box it up so I can get the shipping estimate posted. It may be a few days until I can get to it.

                        Cam Specs:

                        260 Adv. Duration
                        112 degree centerline
210 duration at 0.050" cam lift

Lift is 0.310" at the cam (multiply by rocker ratio to get net lift at the valve).

Regrind by Clay Smith Cams (may have to Google them).
