  • Parting out built 3.1 hybrid motor

Hey, it's been a helluva long time since I've been on here, but I'm out of the j-body scene, and getting rid of the last of it.

Lots of info and pics about the motor on www.feavs.com

Ported upper / lower intake manifold (will come with fuel rail as well)
heres a pic of how it is now

    125$

Assembled / port and polished heads (work done by v6h.o). Will come with stock 1.6 roller rockers, custom pushrods (made by smith brothers), 3 angle valve job, and double coil valve springs. Detailed pics of the port work are on www.feavs.com. Also comes with valve covers.
    250$

Bottom end. Built by j-bodyperformance. Sealed power hypereutectic pistions (bored out to 3.2l total displacement), Reblanced rotating assembly, GM 260-h cam. This thing ran nice and smooth with no vibrations. Again, some old pics of it at feavs.com
250$. Its also comes with an engine stand good for 1000lbs. Shipping this is gonna suck, so I might try and find someone local for the bottom end.

    Thanks

Hey would you be willing to sell just the push rods?

Unfortunately, I have to keep the pushrods with the heads, incase someone builds the same thing as I did. If someone buys the heads, and don't need the pushrods, I'll send you a message. Or you could always buy the heads with the pushrods =)

        Thanks

under 10 000km (6000 miles) on bottom end. I'm located in hamilton, ontario which is about 45mins from the niagara falls / new york state border.

            Where abouts are you located?

let me try and figure out a quote and get back to you this evening. I would ship it from niagara falls new york to make it cheaper.

are the ported upper and lowers originally a 3100 manifold or 3400? and how are they ported compared to the competition series here?

tad89 = I tried a few sites, and with my rough guess's on weight and sizes, it comes out to 250 - 300$. I would be shipping from 14301, and I guess it to be around 250lbs.

trewyn15 = the upper is from a 2001 malibu and it's a 3100, and the buttom is from a 2000 venture, which was a 3400. This is just the information the wrecker gave me when I purchased them years ago. They didn't have them in stock, so they ordered them.

I can't comment on how it compares. I can only guess wot-techs stuff is gonna be top shelf stuff and probably hard to beat in terms of quality workmanship. There's are some pictures on feavs.com that kinda show the ports. The upper has been smoothed out, media blasted, and clear coated (suppose to be high temp clear coat for engines, don't know how well it works). It does look pretty decent now.

The engine came out because the car was rotted out and scraped. The motor has now been taken apart. Bottom end is still intact, but heads, and manifolds have been removed for parting it out. The heads are boxed up and ready to ship. But if you want pics, I can snap some tonight hopefully.
