you can probably swap them out at the house. Especially if Jon goes Yes it was hit in the front in a parking lot and the driver side headlamp bracket is tweaked. I have another set I believe but I don't know if they are in the car, under the hood, or in the shed. The hood is now white and has some rust underneath it. There might be a strut tower brace. I know the trunk has a bunch of parts I need. There are hubcaps for a 59 olds in there still I think plus drivetrain pieces I want to keep.

i still have my tools around from when i did a thorough cleaning of the 90(everything from the carpet and upwards was pulled), so the way i was thinking was to get over to elkhart, remove the current seats, store them in the back of my father's tahoe, transport them down to warsaw, swap them, come back up to elkhart, bolt in the red seats, then trailer it? seems to make the most sense to me.
between the 90GP and MC, i have two functioning braces that i welded together in the summer of 08 out of 1 1/2" tubing. i certainly wouldn't need another.
i assume Jon will have a list of everything that needs to be pulled?

both cars are in warsaw, so you can swap the seats out of the 92 and the 91 right there. The grey seats in the 91 are barely in there. The 92 will need the seats removed, the arm rest needs to lift up a little for the switches and wiring. The wiring just goes between the seats so that isn't much.Ben

ahh, that simplifies things quite a bit then.
by arm rest, you're referring to the center console? it took maybe 10 minutes to pull the entire assembly when i cleaned out the 90 and found all of the screws/bolts. sounds like just a connector or two would need to be disconnected inside of it, then one end lifted while the harness slides out?

no not pics of the GP, the cutlass! :P
Today I went to install the motor my dad and I were playin with. I jacked the car up on the K-member to bolt down the engine mount and I got to watch the K-member push right through the body shell. I propmtly removed the engine and trans, and went and got drunk.
So...yes I am VERY interested in the cutlass and could you be a dear and look around for a 1986-1990 Oldsmobile 88, 98, or toronado with a sweet body and no motor or trans? One from your area, preferabley reeealy cheap. Then I can come down, buy the cutlass, buy the nice body you find, drive them back and install the 26k mile motor and trans I now have sitting under my picker into it?
THanks, ANOTHER BEER!!!!sigpicHow to make High performance Emissions:
A "true" High flow converter, straight pipe.
Low/No flow EGR valve, block off plate.
Carbon canister and purge valve mod, place in large 30 Gallon can, cover, and place curbside, the city will do the rest.
PCV valve and vent tube, reroute to exhaust to dump where it belongs, on the ground. Or add breathers and let it all free.

The cutlass is in indiana. Its a $500 car, with leather seats, 5 spoke rims, rebuilt trans, sony cd deck, dirty carpet, mostly good exterior, and new axles, front hubs, and shocks/struts as of a few years ago. It also has the rear and front STB. Im giving it away for 500. its worth more as a parts car for the 95 convertible that we have but I don't need it for anything other than parts.Ben
