For Sale : 3.4 DOHC Alternator, Like New $45 shipped

Hello,

For sale is a rebuilt alternator for a 3.4 DOHC. This was on my 1991 Grand Prix and I believe the connector is correct for 1991-1993 years.

It is about a year old and has less than 1,000 miles on it. The car has sat most of that time and underwent an engine swap that uses a different alternator.

The alternator has a 12% OVERdrive pulley. Meaning, that for any given RPM this alternator will spin 12% faster than it would with the stock sized pulley. This means full output at idle speed even with all the accessories, lights, aftermarket radio, and subs running at the same time. Also included is a NEW correct sized belt. This belt is literally brand new, it has less than 100 miles on it and you can see from the picture that it is brand new.

This is a relist, I had a prospective buyer that never sent payment and does not answer PMs so it has been relisted.



Price reduced to $40 and that includes shipping to the lower 48 states.
You get a barely used alternator, its even still sparkly clean, and a BRAND NEW belt.

Yes, I do take paypal.

There are no horsepower gains to be had if that is what you are asking. The 'gains' are in the alternators ability to maintain a charge under heavy load. In other words, in the past my Grand Prix would seem to run at a low voltage (12.x volts) at idle speed with the headlights and taillights on. The overdrive pulley on the alternator makes the alternator spin faster at any given RPM then it would with the factory sized pulley. This means while the engine is idling the alternator is better able to cope with the heavy current draws and maintain proper voltage. I never saw below 14.x volts even with every light, radio, fan etc running.

This is an almost new alternator with a new belt for less than half the retail price.

Still have it, this is an almost brand new alternator for a 3.4 DOHC car. With overdrive pulley that will ensure charging at all times even with the heaviest electrical demand of aftermarket stereos, with headlights running, etc, And you get a new belt!

Dumb question first: will this fit a '98 Malibu with a 3100 (CS-130)? If so, and you're still trying to sell, I killed mine recently with a bad battery, so I'd be interested in yours.
