Well, this is the best picture I could find. That isn't the power steering pump that I'm currently using. The picture shows a 3.1mpfi pump that I used for mock-up. But you get the idea.

You're running it like that? Not much belt contact on the water pump.

Yes, it works just fine. I have actually seen this sold as a A/C delete kit.

Good to know. So that's the 3400 timing cover? My tensioner is in a different place and applies pressure towards the outside, clockwise.

                This is my actual engine:

Yup 3400 timing cover, And what are you putting this in? You can move the tensioner to to location that it supposed to be in on the timing cover like the previous pic

I used my 3500 but I removed that strange plate from the front of it.

That strange plate is for noise dampening.

Yeah, I just pulled my water pump/timing cover out of the box and saw that foam-backed plate and the alternative tensioner mount underneath. So all I really need is the alternator and the power steering pump.

I'd LIKE to get my A/C reinstalled, but it's only worked two months in the last nine years, so not THAT big a deal... I just don't see how an A/C compressor can co-exist with my motor mount using this FWD cover.

Worked on the engine some more this evening. The LIM will need to be turned. That means no PS pump, which means I can't use the 3x00 brackets, and therefore I don't need any of the parts I requested. :/

Off to the salvage yards to find a RWD setup!
