Everyone:
Thinking of heading a different direction, and want to see if there's any interest in my motor. I realize not many people need a whole motor, but if anyone blows theirs and wants a solid street performance motor, it may be worth looking at.
The details:
Motor has about 6000 miles on it, so it's broken in.
Block has been bored .040" over to fit oversize Sealed Power aluminum pistons (hyperutectic) in the stock compression ratio.
Rotating assembly has been balanced.
WOT-TECH Competition ported heads with 3500 valves and keepers, Comp 26896 springs and Comp titanium retainers.
Heads were blueprinted by WOT-TECH and LAM Engines (of Kenosha, WI).
New GM pre-99 timing set, which has the heavier-duty chain.
WOT-TECH stage 3 cam grind (old 1280 grind); measurements are .323/.337" lobe lift, 212/220 degrees duration @ .050". Factory 1.6:1 roller rocker arms will give a gross valve lift of .517/.539". Videos are on Streetfire; it's pretty mild-sounding and very streetable.
WOT-TECH Competition ported upper and lower intake manifolds.
TCE billet 65mm throttle body.
Based on the one time it's been on the dyno (where the car made 194WHP/196WTQ), figure the motor's good for about 240HP, yet still gets 27MPG.
Price is negotiable, but consider that there's easily $3000 in this motor.
Thanks for looking.
