Kwhauck, Asylummotorsports, and the next 2 people to commit to an order of valve covers, I will wave the core charges. I Am going to have to Change the price, but this is the Sure price for valve covers, and it will not change for the Labour.

For a set of valve covers, MFPI or SFI, it will be $85/Pair, or $45 for a single(front or rear) getting into my first set i'm confortible with labling this amount. Core charges and shipping/duties will be ontop of that cost.

Kwhauck, and Asylum If you are OK with this price adjustment, please let me know.

I figured i would put this on the table tonight. I Realized to late that i was out of 400 grit, So by tomorrow evening i will have HIGH RESOLUTION photos of the SFI Valve covers as a finished product. As i can tell right now, Everyone (including John) will be impressed.

I do have Paypale for those who are interested. I will not Ask for Any payment from any buyers till the product is finished, Shown to you, and packed in a box, ready to go out the door for shipping.

Prices on Intakes and Photos are soon to come.

I'm not getting the finish that I'M satisfied with, i have to get a lighter buff wheel and lighter paste, and some 2500 grit paper. heres the teaser i have so far. Notice anything missing?

Looks to me like you just need more time on the wheel is all. White rouge, soft cotton 8" wheel at 3400RPM?

finished the front one. pics pics pics!!!

i found my problem was that i needed to cut the finish twice, and i had forgot how to 'work it', and for the final finish was a hand buff. turned out sexy!

Are you starting with rough textured covers or smooth cast ones? My 3100 has smooth cast ones, all they really need is light sand paper and polish. Hell They look gloss black and I didn't use gloss paint, just cause they are so smooth. Polish compound would shine them up for a quick job if one wanted. I've seen others though that are rough like the intake manifolds..

these were smooth, but you have to cut them down alot to get a finish like that. 220, 400, 800, 1200, 1500. the intake i will probably start with 150 if there really rough.
