  • want it polished?

i'm bored out of my mind lately, and i'm refraned to doing things that limmit to be done in my basement. so if anyone wants intakes valve covers, what ever polished i could do it for a very resonable price, and most likely supply the part myself, polish to customers satisfaction, and send pictures before customer pays for it. i'm limited to doing everything but 3500 parts for now. heres a old picture of something i did years ago.

anything can be polished to a brighter finish, and have more detail done to small tight area's.

Right now i have Basically one of every 3x00 part avalible to my disposal to polish, so i can do a timing chain cover, oil pan, 3500 intake, Throttle body, ect. but i would need your old one sent back to me. For now.

If anyone is interested please feel free to PM me for pricing or any other details.

its all in how detailed and how deep of a shine, the brighter the finish will take more time for wet sanding with finer paper, and the bottom side of the intake would talk longer of course.

Its hard to give an estamate on a paticular object that i havent done.
3400 intake, with a mild finish (brighter than the advertised picture) would have to run in the neighbor hood of $80-100,
3500 intake would be $70-90 as theres less curves to clean=less work=less time
A 3.1/2.8 intake would be $120-140 as i remember clearly how bad the casting is on those intakes. there was lots of pitting and material to remove before i could polish it.
atleast i can give someone the benafit of the doubt, if it isnt as detailed, or isnt up to there expectaions (too look like crome) there not out any money on the trade. i'll simply sell it to someone else or keep it for myself. I love to take pride in my work, so slapping something together isnt really my thing.

I've polished wheels and a supercharger before, but i didnt have the chance to photo the work. so i'm really open to anything. And clear coating is avalible.

Also i should add, for shipping costs, i live in canada, but i can ship from the US as i drive to the US to pick up items, i can also send then, so all costs will be brought to a minimum. next time i'll be going to the border will be in april

LOL Bownarrow, have you ever seen our iron head port jobbers?

Bob, I have polished several 3x00 parts and will have to say that your pricing seems reasonable. I have clocked 6hrs on a set of 3x00 valve covers and about 12-15hrs on a 3x00 UIM.

What grade of finish is this?.....

              ...and what about bulk pricing?

Don't need hardware, don't have a core. $40 sounds fair.
