2000 Olds Silhouette LA1 3.4L 3400 w/ 4T65E (m70 on pan) drivetrain for sale
$200 together or $125 each
I am scrapping this van due to a blown headgasket. The engine runs but uses water at a fast rate. The engine doesn't have water in the oil or vise-versa so I am pretty sure it's either a cracked head or a gasket. I may do a comp test....
Either way, it's a core w/ 175K miles so a rebuild is recommended. Perfect
for building a fast pushrod v-6 out of.
Transmission shifts fine but doesn't go into OD. It has been serviced regularly and the filter was changed not too long ago. Magnet was pretty clean. I have heard that there is some type of splines that shear but easy to fix?
Anyhow, together or apart - U pull it, I can have a hoist ready but bring your own tools. I have a garage available. The van can be driven some to test engine and tranny out. 704-564-9949 leave msg
