it says it's a 93 quad tranny, still brand new, i assume it's just the regular H.O. trans, not the W41. obviously you'd want to swap the bellhousing(preferably have a shop do it since it's new!)

This transmission is a special EUROPEAN EXPORT-ONLY unit and has a special race-bred gearset not sold in the US! The assembly code is 4DFF and carries part number 10235022. The gear ratios are lower than all the V-6 Getrags and most other Quad 4 Getrags. This is the ultimate drag racing or road racing gearbox. It can also be used as a stock replacement for any Quad 4 car.

haha. sucks he can't get rid of them.

if they were v6 trannies, they'd probably be gone, but if they weren't i'd have 2 right now, at 400 each, brand new.

The gearing sucks in these transmissions, thats why he cant sell them. There has been other guys selling them as well, I believe there was like 70 of them or something crazy like that. There was a guy selling them on craigslist for $250 shipped anywhere in the us.
They have 3.77, 2.19, 1.38, .94, .72 gears with 3.94 fdr. Pretty useless, they were used in some heavy euro van that had a quad 4 in it. They were a good deal at $250, as the synchros, bearings, etc can all be used to rebuild your own transmission.

I can't imagine driving a V6 with those gears, the '93 W41 i had was bad enough with the 3.50 1st and the 3.94 fdr.. I bet you could rip tree stumps out of the ground with it though.
