  • For Sale : *** THE '91 Turbo Z24 ***

I posted this up on v6z24.com, but I will post here also.

I'm selling my '91 turbo Z24 so I can focus on a new project. Many of you know this car, but here's a rundown of what I've done to it:

    Suspension/Brakes/Wheels & Tires
    Tokico struts and shocks
    Eibach Pro lowering springs
    Energy Suspension poly bushings
    Stock front sway bar
    Addco rear sway bar
Cadillac STS 11.25" front brakes and spindles
Pontiac 6000 10.5" rear disc brakes
Camaro master cylinder w/Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve
    ASA 16x7.5" wheels
BFG G-Force Sport 225/50 tires (less than 5K miles)

    Engine, Turbo, ECU
    3.1L V6 bored 0.020" over
    Federal Mogul hypereutectic 8.9:1 pistons
    Moly rings
    Clevelite 77 bearings
    Crower custom grind turbo cam
Turbonetics T3/T4 hybrid with internal wastegate
    Greddy Type-S blowoff valve
    Spearco 2-115 intercooler
Custom crossover and complete 2.5" exhaust
GM heavy duty truck catalytic converter
    Magnaflow muffler
    Haltech E6A engine management
Laptop computer with software and backup programs included
    Low-impedance 30 lb/hr injectors
    Holley 255 lph fuel pump

    Drivetrain
    Stock Muncie-Getrag 5-speed
    NEW Clutchmasters kevlar clutch
    Driveshaft Shop custom chromoly axles

    Interior
Custom AutoMeter Ultralite instrument cluster (tach, speedo, oil temp, water temp, boost)
A-pillar pod with AutoMeter Ultralite gauges (fuel level, oil pressure)
    Alpine AM/FM CD w/aux input
    Infinity speakers
    Greddy Profec boost controller
Otherwise stock interior in excellent condition

This car is in excellent shape - I don't think you'll find a cleaner Gen II Z24 anywhere. It would be suitable as a daily driver, yet it is still very fast. The A/C works great, the car doesn't overheat, and the new clutch is sturdy but easy to use. I also recently replaced the steering rack with an AC Delco Z24 unit (quicker steering ratio). All the bugs are sorted out and it's ready to go. The car is located in Dallas, TX.

$6,000 OBO - I'm open to all cash offers. No trades, please. For additional info/pics, email me at turboz24@swbell.net.

There is a red light I used for the boost control, which is no longer functional, so that could be used for a check engine light. The only issue is that the Haltech doesn't have a "check engine light" function in it......

I pulled the build motor and swapped in the more daily driver friendly on that's in there now.

I didn't want to drive to work in dress slacks and shirt without A/C. I also wanted something that was easier to control. It will still get away from you when you hit the gas, but it's not stupid crazy like the previous motor.

Well, I bought this car about 2 years ago, and my friend Paul and I are just getting done with a 3rd gen swap. I'll start a build thread soon. Brett
