    OFF TOPIC!!

    Carcone's has about 5 or 6 3500's.

    I just bought one, 13,000 KM's for $350.

    Now bring me some beer!

Looks like the iron version? Steel has a "7484" and "5041600" stamp on the snout.

Definitely is low mileage!!! I have taken several of them apart and can see that!

      Good deal, and bump.

can you weigh this without the flexplate? I would really like to know the weight difference between the iron and the steel version of this crank.

lol! I don't need any more right now, still have one thats needs put back together and installed in a car!

I got it looked at today and the guy at the machine shop said that it could use a polish then its good! He also said that it looks like a steel crank to him but he was not %100.

I will try to weigh it some time this weekend, its feels like it weighs alot more than a 3.1 crank.

                Steel,Cast,Cast 3400.

If I quoted GM parts direct correctly in my reluctor ring thread back when we were debating whether or not I had a steel crank, the first two are the shipping weights I was given that helped me determine which part number belonged to the steel 7484 crank which would be heavier than the cast. The 3400 number is a weight I arrived at on a not so great bathroom scale. I believe I was also told that the cast version came available in 2006 according to my archived thread on Pennocks' which seems to be supported here.
