  • Wanted 3400 High LB/hr injectors

I need Multec 2 OR Multec 1 higher lb/hr injectors.

I'm currently running Multec 2 28lb/hr injectors from a trail blazer so if they are that style, the better because then I don't have to re-wire my harness again... If not then I need to do it.

BUT according to my most recent scan, I have not checked fuel pressure regulation yet, BUT according to this, right now I'm hitting 88% DC on my injectors at about 6300rpm, at 6100 its 83% and thats still too high for my liking...

Let me know what you have and how much... I'll post back up here if I find out my pressure is just falling below what I want it at...

    Got Lope?

Yes, just today I did this log. BUT I'm not sure if my pressure regulator is holding pressure good enough... Its an old Caspers unit.

I just read this in another thread... Stock regulator for a trailblazer is 61psi...

        Also in this thread

        Trail Blazers -
        28lb/hr injectors at 410kPa or 294cc/min at 59.5PSI
Mine is set for 55PSI (at idle with vac line off... I know not the way to set it best, so that may be my problem)

If my regulator is holding 55PSI for the max RPM then I'm only at a 26.5lb/hr injector give or take, so thats not that bad.. .BUT if my pressure is dropping off to say 43 or so due to the regulator then it could be as low as 23lb/hr..

Still knowing whats out there and what the cost is, wont be a bad idea.

given that they are more like 26lb injectors at 55psi.

Yeah and then add the RPM if the regulator isn't set right for high RPM they could be dropping down to 23lb/hr... GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I need a pressure gauge like you have Brendan... I just can't afford that now.

doesnt look bad but theres gotta be a reason its 1/3 the price of an autometer

yeah thats why it took me so long to get the fuel pressure gauge and even then i bought it used off one of the older members on gagt.com. i ended up paying like 80 or something.

i want a full sweep oil pressure gauge too but 200 bucks for a gauge is kinda steep for me.

if you can win this one auction ends in 2 days and its a used autometer gauge in case the link gets borked Item number: 290308035272

Jon, get a cheap FP tester or mechanical gauge, and route the hose out the cowl and mount it with zip ties to the wind shield wiper arms or something, or up to the window and have a passenger look at it/hold it while you drive.... Then unscrew it from the fuel rail and be on your way.... Just an idea to find out what's going on vs a permanent gauge.

even the fuel pressure tester is 40ish bucks. then its kind of a toss up between the cheapo gauge and the fp tester

if he can win the auction he could get that one cheap

I have a set of 32# injectors out of a s/c riviera. They use a bosch style connector. Let me know if you're interested. I'll let them go pretty cheap.

Pfft, Jon, 83% is nothing. On my old blue car, I was running 16.7 lb/hr injectors from the 3.1, and running those bishes at 100%. I never went lean, and did I mention I ran a 14.3? BTW, for your reference, the new style bosch injectors I.E. 2004+ L32 (SC 3800) have the same connectors as the stock 3500 injectors, so as long as you kept that harness...

I thought he had a tester, that's how he set it at idle with the vac hose off the FPR.... ?

So there ya go, if the hose on the tester is long enough, hang it out the cowl and look at it like that while WOT That'll tell you if the pressure is dropping at WOT vs what it's set at idle with no vac. If the hose is long enough that would be too easy.
