So I'm rebuilding my old stock 3400 .030 over and putting that into ole red... I've developed some nice ping in the 3100 and it almost sounds like rocker chatter... either way the motor in there is gutless and it had a leaking LIMG when I got it so I don't know how long it was run like that, so I'm unsure of any damage in there prior to me putting in the felpro's
SO I need to replace the 3400 headgaskets on that old motor and then all the other gaskets that started leaking... LOL, timing cover, oil pan needs to be resealed, and also I'll do another set of metal felpro's
So actually I need 3400 head gaskets, timing cover gasket and LIMG (METAL ones) if anyone has those items burning a hole in their pocket and can get me a better deal than an autoparts store or GM, reply PM or e-mail me. I guess head bolts wouldn't be a BAD idea too... I may reuse the 04 set that came out of my 3400... I'm not sure tho since your not supposed to reuse them.
