    Wanted Wtb 96gtp Dic

    Like the title says, I am looking to purchase a Driver Information Center (DIC) for my 96GTP. I am hoping to find this item so that I can finish off my car this year before I goto Afghanastan.

    If you know of one for sale please let me know.

    What is the difference between the 94 - 95 and 96 DIC's. Is it something in the DIC it self that is different?

    I know for a fact the 95 and 96 DIC plug in the car have the same exact wiring.

      96 has OBD2 and 94-95 is OBD1.5 will not work in OBD2...


      ALSO I AM LOOKING FOR ONE TOO... I NEED ONE FOR A 96 GPGTP...

                  The 94 - 95 and 96 DIC use the same exact plug, same exact wiring so I don't know who started the rumor. For some reason OBDII seems to be the big excuse, but the DIC still uses the Class 1 Data Signal even in the 96. The 96 uses Class 1 and Class 2 Data Signals.

                        It wont work cause you need the code for the bleeder valve that is connected inside of it. I was told the code was "asshat" . Now I am not 100% on that, but it could very well be true!
