  • 3100 Parts for Sale

OK....so I tore down the old 3100, and have a bunch of parts available. The only thing that is NOT good is the cam and bearings. The cam snapped at 285K miles due to trashed cam bearings. ALL the other bearings in the motor are like new. Seriously.....the crank/rods are perfect....I miced them and they are all within NEW specs. Gotta love that Mobil1 (and I still say there is something wrong with the cam bearings on these motors....

Soooo.....you HAVE to let me know what you want/need by this coming Wednesday morning. If nobody wants something....it's going into the scrap bin at work to be melted down into rebar

    I have, all 1995 Lumina:

    crank (std/std)
    Oil pan **SCRAPPED**
    Pistons/rods (std) **SCRAPPED**
    Exhaust manifolds **SCRAPPED**

    Heads
    Valvecovers **SCRAPPED**
    Flexplate **SCRAPPED**
    Wiring harness
    PCM
    Balancer **SCRAPPED**
    Lower pulley **SCRAPPED**
    Oil Pump **SCRAPPED**
    Windage Tray (stock) **SCRAPPED**
    Lifters/pushrods/rockers/lifter guides **SCRAPPED**
    Upper/Lower Intakes

    I also have almost new:

    Starter
    Alternator
    Injectors/Fuel Rail

    Also have:

Lumina rear panel thingy (reverse lights on trunk) **SCRAPPED**
    Stock cat converter **SCRAPPED**
Stock 4T60E/converter.....maybe 85K on it. Was perfect until removed...
BRAND NEW Lower intake, with coolant pipe

Now, I want to give this stuff to a good home and to those people who need it. Make me a REASONABLE offer, and it will be plus shipping. I'm keeping the sensors and such, as you never know when you may need those Otherwise, let me know... I'm not going to keep answering questions and negotiating....so if you want it, you HAVE to get me paypal by Wednesday.

    Let me know!

You have GOT to be kidding? Nobody wants this stuff? Seriously, it is in like new condition....forget the miles. I always used synthetic oil and it shows. No sludge AT ALL in the engine, no ridge in the cylinders, and all the bearings (except for the cam) were like new.

I probably don't need yet another block laying around, and I have a complete 3400 on a stand too. Soooo...... It would be a TOTAL shame to scrap a perfectly good block

Give these parts a good home.....

Heck if you are near Chicago area (SW burbs) come and pick through the stuff and you can have it.....

I have a hard time getting rid of good stuff

There has been a LOT of bad luck going around. I just had a hole punched in my head by an oral surgeon (at the tune of greater than $400) and he insisted it would close itself. Well it didn't and the only people willing to fix it are asking in the neighborhood of $4K. I just went through this last year and cannot believe it is happening again.

I'd be all over a bunch of the stuff, but I have to spend money on medical expenses. I intended on having my car running weeks ago and now I don't see it happening anytime soon.

I know this post isn't doing much to help you but it is a free bump back to the top!

        Who said anything about money

I want to give these good parts a home to go to. If someone wants to pay for shipping.....away they go (Except for the electronic stuff....)

The block is perfect....no cracks, no ridge, no spun bearings, etc. It would pain my soul to toss this thing into the scrap bin.....but alas, I have no more space to keep it laying around

Help a poor piece of iron live another day....

OK.....since nobody stepped up for the parts I was GIVING AWAY for shipping only....I have adjusted my original post to show what I tossed. The scrapman was happy.....but I am not. A lot of good parts just went to waste....

              Sigh....

Do you by chance still have the bolts for anything? I need the timing cover bolts and the bolts for the AC/dogbone mount bracket, including that goofy torx-headed one that's also a head bolt. I lost mine, they must have fell into the black hole that is my garage

                      OK....to answer some questions:

                      - Yes, I have the alternator. It is under a year old and has maybe, tops, 7K miles on it. Worked perfectly when removed......I babied it. Make an offer

                      - Front cover means the front timing cover I had the rocker (valve) covers, but tossed them last week in the garbage.

                      - Yes, I think I saved ALL the bolts from the engine, as they may come in handy later. But...they are all in a big pile in a coffee can. I couldn't tell you what came from what. The torx head head bolt is actually a two parter....I have the head bolt part, but I don't know if I have the torx part that mounted the bracket. Which do you need?

Also, if you guys want stuff for sure....send me a PM so I get notice quickly
