Ben, could you get a straight-on shot of the bellhousing (i.e. facing the input shaft)? I've hardly ever seen 284s.. I'm curious about something.

What are those big holes in the top of the bellhousing?

hmm, ill take one tomorrow. I put it all back in the trunk, and the pressure plate is still in there so I dunno what you are gonna see. They appear to be inspection holes, so I dunno what the real purpose was for them. They came with plugs, or at least the one does.
