Grrrr..... Ok, my replacement of the 3100 to 3.4 DOHC is *almost* ready to fire up. Buttt.....get this. I was installing the passenger side axle and some suspension crap, when I noted coolant under the car. I had filled it up the day before, so I thought I has spilled.... Well, no. It was still dripping off the crank pulley.....SOAB!!! After digging into it, I had to pull the timing crap off the front of the engine (which was a piece of cake to do when the engine was on a stand, not so easy in the car)....I found the problem. A crack in the front cover and the coolant was seeping out of it! Seriously.....a hairline crack with seepage. Short of pulling the cover to weld it up.....does anyone have a cover they can sell? I also need a new plastic front belt cover, as I cracked it taking it off too....
Any help appreciated!
BTW, this is a 96 engine, if it matters......
Thanks!!!!
