  • 3400 Supercharger

I purchased this at a swap meet. I don't know too much about it but I'll be happy to answer any questions I can.

it looks to be a 3800 c/s on a home made 3400 intake
nice work compared to what was seen over the years trying to put a 3800 s/c er on a 3.1/3x00
01 olds shilluette 3400/4T65-E stock for now

Looking closer it may be something from GM.

Hard to tell really though. It's not a 3400 equinox plenum since it doesn't have the EGR/etc on the front or back. And it has an EGR mount on the TB neck custom put on there... I don't think anyone making a hot rod would put an EGR on there lol.

Thats a 3500 plenum and custom. I think the MGB needs a hood scoop...

Ben, uhm but where is the lines on the top if it's a 3500 plenum?? And look at the cast bung on the top that's been plugged. It must be a pre-production 3500 manifold... It's smooth like the 3400 equinox one..

That supercharger isn't the L67 one. It looks smaller. Maybe it's like the ones on the ecotechs?

Ben, DO IT!! More powah! That'd be sick!

Yeah, its not a stock 3500 plenum we all know, but that is what it is based on for sure. It probably is a GM prototype, but to see it at a swap meet is unbelievable.

looks like some extra custom welding on that 3500 intake. they cut the lines off for the blower hole! custom TB neck too. too bad it sticks out of the hood so far.

Nah the lines go further than where just the blower sits. Notice the cast has a weird bung too that's plugged. It's gotta be an early 3500 plenum cast that's not production.

                            Looks like an M62.

To answer the question about the hose on the plenum, that's the bypass valve.

Ben, you'll be better off with an M90 if you want to do something like that. M62's are used on small 4cyls.
