    2 hrs! ha try 4hrs

i do have a parts list actually so i know have everything that they think they will need to do it

alot of it is the Intercooler $400 (custom made of my car) BOV and Wastegate $300 each

the manifolds they want $1000 for the set for a basic log style!
i could easily do it myself but i dont have the time to learn to weld once i do by one..one day yes right now no..i need some kind of exhaust soon as what i have sucks major ass and i noticed tonight that fumes are entering the car (had quite a headache from it)..im slowly getting it together now..ive got a few things here to knock it down a few hundred and a few other then in the works..at the most i might have them do the intercooler part unless ForcedFirebird thinks he can do it in a day or two then ill just get the intercooler made

Get that exhaust leak fixed immediately or keep the car airated the best you can. It took watching an episode of mystery diagnosis to figure out why my eyes were burning and my head hurt consistently on the one day a week I drove 30 miles one way to do volunteer work, I thought the building I was in being an old school was causing it but it turned out to be the exhaust fumes that were very suttle being inhaled over the entire trip.

ForceFirebird can teach you to weld with a Mig in one day. When I built my first turbo project, a twin turbo IROC-Z I rounded all of the tools up at once, read the instructions and was welding right away. I saw and purchased my Mig welder at Sam's club, it's a nice Century unit. Stick welding takes more practice. At least this way you can help as well as direct specifics.

I was fortunate enough to get my wastegates off Ebay before the prices doubled and a large portion of them disappeared.

hey..i know what the fumes are from..i went to a shop yesterday to get the whole thing redone but they wanted $500 and i was gonna supply the muffler and cat so now im really trying to round up the turbo parts

im gonna get out there today maybe and see if i put the wrong nut on the exhaust as its coming loose..if not then ill loctite it or something for now

or ill just have to park the car agian till i fix it..we'll see

Got the bends and collectors today - Thanks Joseph for the heads-up on supplies . Also, joseph, the exhaust bends on the origional turbo were 14ga, measured them yesterday.

BTT: here's what we are starting with ...

Yes indeedy, but the 14ga 1 5/8" primaries don't fit inside the bores, i thought they were made so the primaries would slip in?

I've decided to get a set from Betterthanyou for my car, but money is tight at the moment. We've been buying a lot of supplies just starting the shop, and money just hasn't started to come in yet.

Hmm... I'm pretty sure I designed them for the 1 5/8" OD, although it could have been 16ga, not 14ga. I can alter the CAD file and send it to Geoff if he's getting a custom set made for you.

Havn't decided yet on what one to get. I like the "D" port because it would be a nice transition from the primaries to the ports. Just tried to stick the primaries in the pic into the flanges, and they didn't go. Not a big deal since I do have the keys to a machine shop but didn't really want to make Loner's turbo headers from 16ga steel.

i was just making sure it went thru..sometimes they dont..pictures of the rear will be hard but i can try it tomorrow..possible you can draw up what you got in mind..just curious what you got in mind

Need Some pics and measurements of your rear head, so they don't interfere with the firewall.

The collector is just tacked on to show you how they are going to look when sealed up. Would you like the collector to be more parrellel with the head?

                              Finished

Pics of the rear header, had to make it al little different to clear the KS, and still be able to reach the bolts/studs during installation...

I'll send them to you for test fitting, and if there is a problem, you can sned them back, or have have the person making your crossover and downpipe do it, but I think they will probably be OK.

                              PM me your address.

ill probably test fit everything then get some measurements or something for a crossover and maybe send them back for that to be done..im almost tempted to drive done and have you do the rest as well be we can discuss that later
