  • FS: Performance Valve Springs & Titanium Retainers

Up for sale is a set of heavy duty valve springs and matching titanium retainers for any 2.8L, 3.1L, 3.4L gm 60*

I was going to use these on my Camaro 3.4L PR engine, but found out that the seat pressure was far too much. Here are some pictures and a video:

Falconer Racing Valves for 60 degree v6.

These valve springs came from Falconer Racing:
Ryan Falconer Racing Engines has been building, designing and developing race-winning engines for over 50 years. This is the home of the Falconer V12, L6 and IRL Street V8 street rod engines.

They raced the 60* engines back in the late '80s, early '90s. I am told they were run in competition with approximately 0.560 lift.

At 1.570" installed height, the springs seat pressure is 170#. This would be awesome for any hydraulic roller setup. The highest spring pressure I want to go on my 3.4 PR engine is around 120#.

I am asking $300 shipped or best offer for the springs and retainers.

Stock spring is to the right of the perf. spring:

The titanium retainers sell for around $30 a piece brand new, and here you get a full set of 12 PLUS some very nice heavy duty springs.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

I thought this was both the Camaro 3.4L and the Fiero 2.8L spec... Do you have other information?

I have no idea what the iron head install height is. Seems real short though. Stock aluminum head 60V6s are 1.7" install heights. 8mm valve stems as well. Are iron head valves 8mm? I am thinking your parts are iron head only, which is why I mentioned it.

Yes, I suppose I should have been more specific. Yes these will only work with iron head v6.

The sale on these will be withheld until Monday when I can get back to the shop and double check my information.

OK, I got back to the shop today and rechecked all my info on these springs.

The AERA documents state that the stock installed height for the 2.8L Fiero engine is 1.560" (39.624MM).

It also states that the installed height for the 3.4L Camaro v6 is 1.570" (39.878MM).

So, if you want to run them at 1.7" like some people suggest, you sure can but I go by what AERA says.

At 1.7" installed height these springs run 155#.

if you dont sell these here, try fulthrottlev6.com
LOTS, of iron head 3.4 fbody guys, that would be more likely to use iron head products im sure.

I'd like to bump this thread from the dead.

I still have these springs and other equipment. My new asking price for the full set is $100 shipped.

                      Thanks

Very interested in these if they work on a 3400 head.

I wouldn't use these on a 3400 head an the retainers certainly won't work. As for 2 pages, change the number of posts per page to 40 in your profile and you won't have to click through so many pages on the forum

This thread is old and I thought a noob bumped it till I scrolled up. Suprised these haven't sold to an iron head owner yet.
