  • Free CRAP from 1997 3100...

This stuff is loaded and will be on its way to the scrap yard this weekend. Figured it was a long shot but if anyone wants any of this stuff let me know. You pick up for free(Mason Ohio, 45040) or pay shipping. This is a 3100 motor from a 1997 Malibu. Head(s) are GARBAGE but if you want them for show and tell they are all yours.
Motor mounts and oil pan are from a 2005 Monte Carlo 3400.
Please read these threads so you know what I have here. These parts are from the motor in these threads...

Do you have access to a metal bandsaw or maybe even a sawzall? Been looking for a set of 3x00 heads to cut up for a cross section of the intake and exhaust ports. Don't really want to pay shipping on a junk head though, since it would probably be $20+.

Actually, doing a quick search, I think you need to take a short trip up to West Carrollton. CNCGuy on here owns a CNC shop (duh) up there and does all the custom billet parts for the 60V6 Store. I'm sure he would be willing to cut up a set of junk heads for the site's purpose!! Hell, I might try to convince him to cut up the block as well... Heheh.

I could cut up a head pretty easy but blocks are a little big for my machines. I can pick them up and throw them on the saw. That would give me a reason to stop by and see my sister who lives near KI.

Is there a difference between the '95 3100 heads and the '97s? I have an set of the '95s here that can be chopped up.

Wasn't sure if you could handle a block or not, but figured I'd toss the idea out there anyway...

As far as the differences between the 95 and 97 heads, there shouldn't be any differences as far as the ports go. If you decide to chop them up, get with Ben to see what he is looking for, as I know he was interested in seeing a cross section.

The 97 heads are almost identical other than the rocker arm studs. That is a small port LIM. Its worth about free.

Sure it will work but you are better off with the large port manifolds for flow.

The block is free. It still has crank, cam and liffters in it. This block would need to be cut at least .020" over, use at your own risk! This block has been very hot.

The manifolds, crossover, valve covers and oil pan...
Oil pan has already been claimed via private message from another member. If you want the rest of this stuff give me your ZIP and I will get you a shipping quote.
