  • FS: ported 3500 plenum, TCE adapter, 62mm TB

Due to a failed project, I have some extra parts to get rid of (buyer pays shipping charges if applicable):

    1. Ported 3500 plenum. Bought from Ben through the store a few months ago. Tried bolting it up to the car, but won't clear the 3400 FPR/fuel rail when used with TCE phenolic spacers. Painted black; but otherwise new (car never ran with it). Store lists them at $190; I'd like $140.
And, if the buyer so desires, I'll add a brand-new 3500 MAP sensor, wiring harness, and hold-down bracket for no additional charge. ***SALE PENDING***

    2. TCE billet TB adapter plate, for bolting their TB to a 3500 plenum. Again, brand new. $30 OBO. ***THIS ITEM SOLD***

    3. Billet 62mm throttle body. This is one of the original pieces that Kimmo made and Franz sold through FDP. Includes butterfly and linkage for 2000 Alero and others (the "A" style linkage as listed in the 660 store). Used but perfectly functional and in good cosmetic condition. $100 OBO. ***THIS ITEM SOLD***

Pics are available for serious inquires. Paypal accepted (I can take credit cards), but buyer must pay any additional Paypal fees. Thanks for looking.

The FPR adapter should let it clear with the spacers.

I have the FPR bracket also, and it won't fit.

3500 plenum with 3400 FPR and fuel rails

That's the setup I've got on my '05 GAGT - where are you getting clearance issues ? And I'm also using parts supplied by Ben (the plenum, the adapter, a 65mm TCE TB, and the fpr bracket). Just curious to see if there's some engine difference that's caused this apparent problem,

It'd fit except I have the TCE phenolic plenum spacers. The spacers raise the plenum 1/2". so the wide "ring" around the FPR interferes with the plenum. No amount of tweaking to the fuel return line would make it work.

Hmm , I have the same spacers, I'll have to look closer - I wonder if there is some subtle difference in the plenum shape or height . Anyway, good luck with the sale...

where the bolt goes through the FPR, cut out the top of that hole and put a washer on the bolt. that let me turn mine to clear the 3500 plenum. If you have Ben's bracket that may just give you the extra clearance you need.

Ok, I rechecked and your FPR should clear. You will have to bend the line a little, but there is no reason that when you screw the FPR into that adapter, using the spacers, that it won't clear the plenum. Its close, real close but it clears. You will have to set it on and slide it forward to clear it on install, but that is it.

There are the pictures I took.

I'll try it again sometime this week, but tweaked the return line pretty good (I was afraid of cracking it) and it wasn't close. We'll see.
