everyone thinks with boost you gotta run insanely low compression

9.5:1 is fine i've ran 10psi on a stock engine for about 6mons no prob

i believe it was sixshooter talking about 11+:1 c/r's with boost

        lower is just safer

i wonder if i could of got away with not spending the 100 on custom rods and used the 2.8's

anyways ryan ur car was nice to see in person

Yup...Wisconsinites rock! Nice numbers from that. I'd like to see pics from that. Kinda thinking about messing with my '99 Lumina a little.

yeah Wisconsin is where it's at lol
Yeah i decided to make a Honda killer lol my biggest pet peeve is Honda's that think there fast with there fart cans and intakes (stickers add horse power ) douche-BAGS!!!! people said i was crazy for building up a 2000 GA 3.4L
hmmmm lemme think.......Fuck yeah.... i think about 16lbs of boost should do the trick. i work on the theory of your only as strong as your weakest link....so that means cv shafts, transmission, fucking wheel hop,and those n/a heads grrrrr (need larger exhaust valves) ok hear is a question for you all....what is the max hp the 3.4L block can handle before complete failure.

Yes, higher compression is alright for boosted cars. I currently have zero knock. I put a bunch of pics up on v6z24.com however it looks like about 1 percent of the people decided to view them! lol. Anyway i turned the boost up just a little bit. It spikes at 8 psi and goes back down to 7 psi and yeah it scared me a little lol. I had to back off of second gear because my radio flew out then when i went into third and shut it off part way through going about 80-90 mph. (estimate speed i have a slower speedo needle because of the tgp buffer speeds compared to the cavaliers). I don't even want to know what 12-15 psi will do on one of these motors. It is going to be f'n scary.
