  • 2.8L fiero turbo time :)

Well, I'm getting a bit tired of my car being slow.. I'm planning an engine swap eventually when I have time (Once I'm done school).. So I figgure it may be time to turbo the 2.8 for a bit more go for a couple years...
    Here is the plan:

    85GT with 117000km on it. 4 Speed.

    Toyota CT26 Turbo
    #19 mustang
    MSD Blaster Coil
    MSD Cap and rotor
    New plugs and wires
    Re-Programmed ECM
    2 Bar map
    Stock exhaust manifolds
    Custom Y Pipe
    3" Turbo back single exhaust
    Manual boost controler
    Greddy BOV
Boost and A/F gauges in pillar pods
Oil supply from turbo from T tap at oil pressure sender
    Oil return to oil pan

I would like to run a maximum of 10psi. 6psi for daily driving. I plan to either intercool or water/alky inject. Not sure as of yet. We have a good reliable local shop that does water alky so.....

    Now my only questions are:

    1. Am I missing anything?

    2. Who can re-program the ECM for me?

    3. What 2 bar map to use. I've heard 89GP turbo map?

    4. Can anyone recommend a good plug and wire set?

    I think that's about it...

ct26 is an alright turbo for the street. As far as a 2bar map, you just need to double the stock fiero map. If you want some good chip info, contact ryan from his website. www.gmtuners.com. 3" exhaust is up to you, I had to notch my trunk for the 3" downpipe off my 60-1 turbo and I still probably could have gotten away with 2.5". My AIM is same as my username so if you need anything, or want some pics of my turbo 2.8 (sorta) setup let me know.
