  • Ideal turbo for a 3.1

I just sold my T-25 and TGP crossover. The T-25 is too small. I want something that isnt oversized, that will run 10-12psi with no sweat. I really dont care about lag or instantaneous boost. The car NA is likely 225lbs of tq at the crank. I care most about power to redline without a drop off which is where an NA 3.1 needs the most help. I was thinking 450-500cfm and support 300-350hp at the crank. My goal is a MAX of 12psi intercooled and 250ish-hp and 325tq at the crank. So far I have been thinking a T3/T04E 50 trim, with modest turbine/compressor, nothing too big.

I found this so far, looks to be a good match:

My custom crossover has a 4 bolt t3 flange. This does sound ideal, or does anyone else have a turbo recommendation?

i've been looking on ebay fr a while and searching for a good 12psi turbo for a 3.1. i think a 60-1 would be the best bet. i dont know enough about srt4's to know if that turbo would begood for a 3.1 at any level.

will bolt to the stock crossover, will make the power you want, and is more eff then the t25

the 60-1 will provide enough hp/tq to crack your block literally!!
Find one and match the exhaust A/R accordingly...IMO .63-.69 will be plenty enough + 3" xhaust...you cannot go wrong...

i am running a garret t04b but my hybrid isn't stock, its going to be a upper rpm range too, like 3k on up to redline should help a little with traction.

since you sold the crossover theres no need for him to get a turbo that would bolt to that flange.

that should be easy with a T3/T04E hybrid. hell i made 227whp & 325wtq with the stock TGP turbo at ~11psi.
