What's a really small turbo that came stock on a car? I want to get started on a project, but I need to find a small junkyard turbo. It has to be from a pre-1996 car, and with any luck will be fairly common for a turbo. I Was thinking sunfire GT, maybe?

RE: Likkle Bitty Turbo
What size of engine is this going onto?
Sunfires never had turbo's, The old Sunbird 2.0L came with a turbo engine option however.
If for somereason you just need a small ass'd turbo the 13G from an Automatic equipped 2.0L talon/eclipse/lazer (4g63T engine) would be a small itty bitty turbo.Colin

Bah. I ment sunbird, honestly. It's goign on a 1994 GP GTP with stock internals. Mainly, though, it's just to let me fab up a turbo manifold set in Metals class for credit.1994 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Special Edition, Black 5-Speed

well, a little bitty turbo like that is seriously a waste of time. im no turbo experts, however i do know that even the t25 on the turbo 3.1l was almost to small for a 3.1l.
the only use i have seen for a tiny turbo is a 4 cyl diesel for offroad. saw a toyota diesel pickup with a mazda 323 turbo on it. 15lb boost at 1300rpm.

a small turbo that is very common can be found on '88 2.2L Turbo Dodges with the 'Turbo-I' engine, as well as '89-'93 Turbo Dodges with the 2.5L 'Turbo-I' engine. they use a very small Mitsu TE04H turbo. i have a blown TE04H sitting in my garage. they have a T3 sized turbine inlet but a Chrysler specific bolt pattern. the downside is that you'll have to either pull the engine or the remove the cylinder head with intake and exhaust manifold attatched to get to the turbocharger.'91 Cutlass Supreme sedan - 3.1 Intercooled Turbo / Getrag HM-282 5-speed - 13psi / lightly modded

My cougrrr was one of about 2k cars built. It didnt "have" 4ws per sey rather the way it had 4 shocks (2 vertical and 2 horizontal) creating a "floating" rear axle that acted (very realisticly) like 4ws. I could drift like crazy in that damn car, no e brake needed. How I miss it. Death by ejected cam follower.Tuning a car is full of compromises. I should think that the turbo from a Chevy Sprint/Spectrum would be a bit on the small side, though finding one may be a tough proposition.\"NASCAR is an integral part of my life. A part of me died when Dale Earnhardt died.\"
